Elissa

I was born in Philadelphia and went to college at Penn State University, where I got a degree in Art Education.  Then I drove to California to deliver my brother's car to him.  It was a lot warmer and pretty than Philadelphia, so I stayed and found work making metal wall hangings and as an electrical draftsman.  A year later I drove the same car (which I had purchased from by brother) back to Philadelphia.  I graduated from Temple University Law School three years later.  I joined the Navy JAG Corps to get out of town and got half way around the world to Subic Bay in the Phillipines.  After seven years as a Navy lawyer and another brief stint in Philadelphia (slow learner), I finally settled in Silicon Valley, where I have now lived nearly half my life. I am married to Tim Shroyer and have retired from practicing law.  Now, going full circle, I make hand painted silk wearable and usable art, which I sell at street fairs and through my website (www.scarvesbyelissa.com).  I have published my novel - Lawyer, Liar, Pants on Fire.
